Most cabinet companies sell boxes out of a catalog in a few set widths. We build them. Every custom cabinet starts as plywood and hardwood in our Huntersville shop and gets cut to the size your room calls for, so a cabinet can be 31 and a quarter inches wide if that is what fits the wall.
That is what you notice in a finished room: no wide filler strips covering gaps, ends finished to match wherever they show, and doors that line up because the people who built them are the ones who hang them.
What we build
How our cabinets are built
The boxes are plywood with hardwood face frames. Drawers are dovetailed boxes on full extension soft close slides. Painted doors use an MDF center panel inside a hardwood frame, because MDF stays flat and won't open a crack line at the joint the way a solid wood panel can as it moves with the seasons.
- Hardwood face frames on plywood boxes
- Dovetailed drawer boxes on full extension soft close slides
- Ends finished to match wherever they show
- Any paint color or stain, in a two part coating that cures hard
Three ways to build, one shop
Framed full overlay is the classic look, with doors that cover a hardwood face frame. Framed inset sets the doors flush inside the frame, fitted by hand. Frameless drops the frame for a clean modern look and a little more room inside. We build all three, so you pick the look and the budget rather than the shop.
When full custom isn't the right call
Sometimes a semi-custom or ready to assemble line fits the job and the budget better. We sell those too, Spring Forest, Artisan Mills and NKBC, and we assemble and install them the same way. Our instant price puts all four options side by side so you can see the difference in dollars.

Questions people ask
How much will it cost?
It depends on the size of the room and how the cabinets are built. Our instant price gives you four real ranges in about a minute, from the prices we actually charge, and the cost guide shows what moves the number.

Most jobs are ready to install 4 to 6 weeks after you approve the final drawings.
Do you install the cabinets you build?
Yes. We build every cabinet in our shop and install it ourselves. If a door needs adjusting on install day, the person doing it is the one who built it.
Do you come out and measure?
Yes, and the consultation is free. We look at the space, measure it, talk through what you want and follow up with a written price for your actual job.

No. Every price we show is for painted cabinets in any color, and staining costs the same.
